Design

We enjoy a soundbar that is designed to be sleek and modern. The sleekness and slim profile will allow you to mount or place it in a variety of spaces. The smooth and angular construction of the Vizio SB3621N-F8M makes it appealing for many interiors.

The construction is also sturdy enough to limit vibrations, which could in turn harm the sound quality. The sides of the soundbar are plated with a silver panel with the distinct letter “V’” for the Vizio brand.

The dimensions of the soundbar itself have also been created under careful considerations to not block the screen if you decide to place it on your entertainment system. The subwoofer can be placed anywhere at your convenience as long as there are no obstructions.

Placement

Weighing in at only 4.4 pounds, the soundbar is easily placed on surfaces or wall-mounted. The soundbar is 36 inches, which makes it compatible with TVs that are slightly bigger.

The subwoofer, however, will demand more space so for those who want a soundbar with an external sub, you need to look at the size of your room and space you can afford to your new sound system.

Display

You won’t find a display panel (LED screen) on the Vizio SB3621N-F8M, and the remote doesn’t offer this feature either. It does, however, feature small LED lights to show you what your settings are.

This may not be very important for some users as the settings will be displayed on the screen anyway. Not a lot of people will physically get up to check the settings on the smaller screen of the soundbar.

Features

Remote

The remote control is a basic and can control the settings on your soundbar, but other TV remotes could work as well [1]. The more does afford you the convenience of adjusting the treble and bass levels to tune the soundbar to your personal preferences.

Having a remote come with the soundbar itself makes it easier for setup as there are fewer steps to take to get your soundbar up and running. Not to mention the ease of adjusting the settings without having to get up off the couch.

Sound Quality

Since the Vizio SB3621N-F8M supports DTS and Dolby Digital audio, it is able to provide you with sound quality that rivals the cinemas in your own home. You can enjoy up to 100 dB of room-filling expansive sound that fully immerses you in the content.

Get crystal clear speech and audio that tunes to your favorite music or movies complete with DTS and Dolby technology. The 2.1 soundbar means it provides two points of sound emission and one subwoofer.

The left and right speakers will propel sound towards you from both directions enveloping you in a full 3D sound experience.

Subwoofer

Like other desirable soundbars on the market, the Vizio SB3621N-F8M comes with its very own wireless subwoofer. This subwoofer is an external addition to help add more thumping, deep, and rich bass to your content.

For those who love bass, an external subwoofer is important to satisfy that need and want for rumbling bass. While some soundbars may have the subwoofer built right into the soundbar, the Vizio SB3621N-F8M’s added sub will definitely outperform a smaller embedded subwoofer any day of the week.

Bluetooth

In a Bluetooth supported device (which most soundbars have), streaming and playing content from multiple mobile devices is possible. Not only that but if your TV supports Bluetooth connection as well, then you can bypass the unsightly wires required to connect your new Vizio SB3621N-F8M to your TV.

You can now control the content on your compatible Bluetooth mobile devices from anywhere in the house and enjoy the content emitted from the soundbar.

Connectivity

How many methods of connectivity a soundbar has will affect its functions and how many devices can be paired with it. The Vizio SB3621N-F8M supports USB drives that can be plugged right into the device, which allows for playback.

Other supported connections include the digital optical cable, digital coaxial cables, RCA, and 3.5mm. What is noticeably missing is the HDMI and HDMI arc connections, which could be a problem if you were relying on these types of connections.

HDMI arc allows for better connections and better quality playback from your device. This is a feature that may not be found in more affordable products so we don’t find this to be a very big surprise.

Easy Setup

When it comes to technology, the easier it is to set up and use, the better. Since the Vizio SB3621N-F8M comes with everything you need, it makes this step relatively simple.

You can choose between wired and wireless setup, both being equally convenient and easy, and the included manual plus the remote and cables will leave an even smaller margin of error.

Price

The price is quite affordable for a device that not only comes with its own subwoofer but one that’s also capable of delivering crisp and clear sound with minimal harmonic distortion at any volume.

What’s also great for the affordable price is the feature that can tune the sound to tailor to your specific room specifications and the subwoofer is made to fit easily under furniture and keep out of your way.

Vizio SB3621N-F8M Review Conclusion

The Vizio SB3621N-F8M soundbar offers amazing sound quality complete with DTS and Dolby technology for a price tag you wouldn’t believe. The design is sleek and modern with Vizio going the extra mile to make sure the subwoofer is easy to place.
