Reviews of the Best Soundbars with Headphone Jack

1. TCL Alto 5 Soundbar

Alto 5 31-inch Soundbar is pretty decent entry-level model for best speakers that comes in at just under $50 price range. Unlike Samsung and LG brands or the Sony HT line, the Alto 5 is not only affordable and compact, but it also produces clear and loud sound. The ALTO 5 soundbar system is specially built and tuned to control and optimize any content and deliver pure surround sound.

Without spending too much, you can take your choice of three different modes including movie, music and news modes to enhance the dialogue and improve your listening experience. It is compatible with most TVs and can connect via Optical or AUX.

As for the low tones, this soundbar doesn’t feature its own subwoofer but it does feature great deep bass ports to punctuate the sound for your TV. The brand makes a top range of other choices, including those with external subwoofers, if you want a real bass boost.

Unfortunately, the Alto 5 does not have Dolby Digital or Dolby Atmos technology or any other advanced audio technologies. Another glaring con that the Alto 5 has is the lack of HDMI input.

2. TaoTronics Computer Speakers

This futuristic-looking home soundbar comes in two different colors and LED accents to style up your room. This is one of the best home speaker that is under $50 price point. It is not only compatible with your computer, but it also works seamlessly with your laptops, headphones, smartphones and tablets. It  has a more compact look than the other speaker such as Sony HT-S100F, though, which some prefer.

For that price, you can enjoy elevated and great music with the 3.5 mm headphones port that allows you to listen to improved quality sounds wherever you go and not disturb others in the vicinity. It’s much more than just a soundbar. You can wirelessly connect to the TaoTronics using Bluetooth while some sounbar such as Sonos can only support Wi-Fi.

It’s incredibly easy to set up and also easy to use and control. The large volume knob on the side makes the TaoTronics computer speakers very easy to control and the size allows you to place it anywhere you wish with your TV. You can also choose TaoTronics soundbar with a separate subwoofer to experience thrilling sound if you’re looking for a really full sound.

3. Vizio SB2920-C6 Soundbar

The 29-inch SB2920-C6 soundbar from Vizio is sleek and slender but capable of big 95dB power audio. At any volume, the Vizio soundbar can deliver good surround sound and clean sounds with less than 1% harmonic distortion.

For your convenience, this is built with  Bluetooth [1] to allow for streaming content to your home theater. To further improve your movies and music listening experience, the Vizio soundbar can decode DTS Studio Sound, DTS Tru Volume and DTS TruSurround audio formats. This soundbar also have active amplification type same as the VIZIO SB3821-C6 2.1 channel soundbar and provides the high bass to your audio output.

Even without the help of surround sound speakers and a subwoofer, the SB2920-C6 can still deliver high-end surround sound quality.

At this cost, this doesn’t have a subwoofer or Dolby Atmos surround technology and Dolby Digital decoding over the optical connection as well. But overall, if you want an affordable home speakers that gets the job done every time, this is one of the best budget home speakers with headphone jacks on our list.

Soundbars with Headphone Jack Buyer’s Guide

Headphone Jack Functionality

To have the audio bar work with your headphone to bring surround sound directly in your ear, it needs to have the 3.5mm port.

Speakers

How many speakers does the soundbar come with?  True home theater sound comes with several variations. Usually home theater sound includes a separate amplifier and our experts recommend at least three speakers in your best soundbar with headphone jacks for multi-directional audio. Just like when you buy a Sonos home speaker, you can add Sonos One SLs for surround sound or Sonos Sub for added bass.

Most soundbars are 2.0 channel systems, which means they don’t have an additional or external sub. External subs adds a noticeable boost to the bass.

Sound Quality & Performance

What advanced audio technologies is your soundbar capable of? Good audio modes are categories of tuning that optimize certain content. Look for one with the high quality audio modes and Dolby or DTS technology, which are present in these recommended soundbars as well.

Price

The price of the good speaker or the best soundbar that allows headphone jack connectivity is often very affordable. It’s even cheaper than the Sonos Beam model, Samsung or an LG one and can produce similar surround sound quality audio.

If you’re looking for a good home speaker that actually features a headphone port, you’re going to be somewhat price-restricted, basically because you can pick any one.

However, the price will also go as high as you’re willing to pay.

Channels

Soundbars have channels which simulate the surround sound effect of standard speaker systems and refer to the number of speakers inside the unit that affect the sound property.

Labels such as “2.0,”,”2.1″ “3.1,” or “5.1” are there to let you know how many channels a soundbar has, and whether or not it has a subwoofer. The first number  corresponds to the number of channels, and the number after the period indicates  whether or not there is a subwoofer.

Connectivity

Our experts suggest to look for soundbar with HDMI inputs or USB port for your home theater set. Some speaker rely on optical power cables, which work fine, but HDMI input is preferred. A USB port gives you the flexibility of playing any content you want without complicated settings.

Some top notch speakers such as Sonos BEAM use Wifi and Sony HT-XF9000 use Bluetooth, USB, HDMI and ARC ports. While some soundbars, like the Sonos Arc, don’t have any HDMI input.

.

Subwoofer

Subwoofer takes care of the bass. It can integrate into the body of the home speakers. And for your home theater set, an external sub can connect easily to the rest of the system without the need for any settings on the menu. It can offer louder bass than one that’s embedded in the sounding bar itself.
