Programming Hitachi Remote Codes

The ideal alternative to lost or defective remotes controls are universal remote units. If you own a Hitachi device, you can consider using this remote type as a backup. Not only is it effortless to set up, but it can also be programmed to other devices, regardless of the brand. In this guide, we will show you how to integrate it with your Hitachi device.

Programming Hitachi Remote Codes

To make the programming process work, you will need sets of codes which we listed below for your Hitachi device. These digits, when programmed correctly to your device, will bridge the connection seamlessly between the remote and your TV, amplifier, and others.

Find out all the steps and processes involved in programming in this tutorial below:

1. Plug in and turn on the Hitachi device you wish to program with the remote. Also check if your remote has working batteries so it won’t cause any interruptions throughout the process.

2. Jot down or make a copy of the codes that correspond to the type of your device. This is highly recommended so you can simply provide the code later on when prompted.

3. On your remote control, press and hold the SETUP button. Continue to do so until you see a light blinking or flashing. Once you see this, it means that the remote is in “Learning Mode” and that the device and remote are ready to be programmed together.

4. Now, you will be prompted to enter a code. Double check if the code you have entered is correct.

5. Now, direct your remote control to the TV. Press and hold the power button on your remote, and release once the device shuts down.

6. If your device turns off, it’s a sign that the programming was successfully done. But to fully confirm, turn your device or TV back again.

7. On your remote, try pressing some of the buttons like volume or channel and see if the device responds to the commands. If some of the commands weren’t followed, you have to enter another code and begin from step one.

8. If the process worked, you can do the same process and apply the same steps on other devices.

Our audiovisual and technical team advises to closely observe all the steps above to avoid any errors in the process. It’s also completely fine to fail on your first few attempts. Simply make sure to use a different code on your next try.
