Programming Direct TV RC73 Remote Codes
In this article, you will see the list of codes that you need to encode. Note that the whole procedure might take some time especially if you are not that tech-savvy. You might also encounter some errors along the way and might have to repeat some steps to make the whole thing work. It also pays if you read instructions carefully so that you will save time along the way.
The whole process may seem technical but it will all be worth it once you get to accomplish this task. You will never have to use multiple remotes just to make your equipment work. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can program your RC73 remote towards your device:
1. Ensure that all of the devices you wish to set up are turned on and your remote control is fully functioning to proceed with the process of programming.
2. Here’s a tip. Before you start programming, select the right code for your equipment’s brand before proceeding with the step-by-step process so you can directly provide the needed code instead of taking more time searching for it. The codes will be provided below.
3. On your remote, press and hold the select together with the mute button. Wait for the green light to flash before releasing the keys.
4. An instruction will now prompt on the screen asking for the four-digit code. Using the number keys enter the code from the list.
5. Once the programming is successful, a green light will flash two times.
6. Repeat the same process for your other devices.
7. If the code you entered did not work, use another code. This may take multiple tries, but don’t worry since there are multiple codes provided below for you to select.
It is completely normal if you won’t be able to program your remote on your first try. This is the main purpose of why there are multiple codes provided for each brand. Just follow the same procedure and use a different code.
