Here’s a reference on how you can program your remote to your TLC TV.
1. Switch on your TV and other devices that you want to set up. Make sure your remote is fully working as well.
2. Highlight or write down the codes that correspond to the brand of your device and its type. This is highly recommended so you can just automatically provide the code when the request is prompted on the screen.
3. Press and hold the SETUP button and wait until a light flashes. This is an indicator that the process is now on “Learning Mode” which means the device and remote are ready to be programmed.
4. You will then be asked to enter the code from the list that was provided. Ensure that the code is entered correctly to avoid encountering any errors during the procedure.
5. Once you have entered the code, aim your remote control towards the television, press and hold the power button, and release if the device shuts off.
6. When your device is turned off, it is an initial indication that the process of programming was successfully executed and the code has been successfully stored. To further confirm its functionality, turn back on your TV.
7. Once the TV is turned on, try to navigate and use some of the buttons to confirm if it responds to its respective commands. If some of the buttons don’t work, unfortunately, you have to repeat all the steps and use another code.
This usually happens which is why backup codes are being provided for each device manufacturer. Execute the same process and use a backup code if you fail on your first attempt.
