Programming Spectrum Remote Codes

Codes indicated on this guide are designed according to the brand and device type. These will do all the necessary programming that ultimately creates a centralized command through the use of universal remote control.

It’s like all functions condensed to just a single remote control. All you need to do is be careful when you enter these codes so as to avoid some errors and repetition of previous steps along the way especially if you don’t have enough experience dealing with equipment. In this article, we will list down all the codes unique to a brand and device type for reference.

Follow this step-by-step guideline as your reference on how you can successfully program your device with your remote:

1. Power on the device that you wish to program. In this case, your television. Aside from turning on your device, make sure your remote has working batteries on it so it can work seamlessly during the process and won’t interrupt the programming.

Note: Make sure not to skip any of the steps so you won’t have to repeat the process again and again. It would be more convenient if you gather the codes before you begin the procedure so you can conduct the process faster and easier. As the programming procedure may take a few hours, better do it during your free time to avoid interruptions during the process.

2. On your remote control, press the device key that says TV. Just press and release it instantly.

3. Find the SETUP key on your remote then press and hold. Do not release the key until the selected key more blinked twice.

4. Now, enter the five-digit code provided on the list below and wait until you notice that the selected key mode will blink twice again.

5. If ever the key blinks more than twice, you will have to repeat the previous steps and enter the same code all over again.

6. Once it successfully worked based on the description here, point the remote towards your TV and it should turn off.

7. If the TV does not turn off, it means there’s something wrong. You will need to repeat the steps from the beginning and use a different code.

If all the steps and the codes still did not work, you will need to conduct troubleshooting to resolve the issue:

1. Press the CH- just once so you can navigate through the codes and keep your TV switched on.

2. On your spectrum, remote control, press the TV button once then press and hold SETUP until the TV key blinks twice.

3. After it blinked twice, enter the code 991 and wait until it will blink twice again.

4. Afterward, press the number 1 on your remote control and wait carefully notice if the TV button will blink once.

5. Now point your remote control on the intended device and press the power button once.

6. Press and release the CH button multiple times. Only stop when the TV completely turns off.

7. Turn on the TV using the power button again, and press the SETUP button for you to be able to enter and lock in the designated code.
