If you have an RCA R26211, chances are you want an all-in-one controller to manage your home theater sources. Universal remote controls are meant to do exactly that, but not everyone knows how to program them accordingly.
For your convenience, our technical team and resident cinephiles collated all the steps so that you can enjoy a viewing and listening experience without any hassle.

Steps on How to Program an RCA R26211 Universal Remote
Step #1: Turn the Device ON
Before you do anything else, ensure that the component you want to integrate with your RCA universal remote is turned on. Otherwise, it cannot be detected during the integration.
Given that it’s a universal remote, you can pair it with any components such as televisions, Blu-ray Players, or even soundbars.
Step #2: Find Specific Device Code
You may not know it, but you can find a list of RCA device codes in the user manual that comes with purchasing your universal remote. If you can’t find them or lost the said manual, we listed all the codes you need below this tutorial.
Skim through the list to find your device type and the brand. If you cannot find your device on the list, you can consult the RCA support website for more information.
Step #3: Press Down the Code Search Button
Most RCA universal remotes have a Code Search Button for easy device pairing. If you don’t see that in your controller, you’ll find buttons with icons meant to represent the component you’re trying to connect, like DVD players or TVs. Our team urges you to keep pressing on that until you see the light in the power button.
Step #4: Enter the Right Device Code
Don’t let go just yet unless you see the light on the RCA remote. The blinking in the controller means that it’s in Pairing Mode, so our team recommends to carefully watch out for this indicator.
Continue pressing the same button while selecting the appropriate RCA R26211 universal remote codes. RCA remote codes are typically 4 to 5 digits long, and it highly depends on which type you have. In this case, almost all RCA R26211 codes consist of five digits.
The controller’s indicator will blink four times if you have already reached the end of the RCA code. If you don’t see it there, the device you have most likely won’t work with the remote.
Step #5: Check if the Entered Code is Correct
The remote programming isn’t done yet unless you confirm that the code and the component match and work perfectly. In this step, check if the power button still lights up. If it does, that could only mean that the code was entered appropriately.
Step #6: Stop and Save Changes
After confirming the lights [1] in the indicator, all you need to do is press the stop button on the remote. By doing this, all the configuration changes you made will be saved in the controller’s system, and it’ll work accordingly the next time you access it.
However, if you see the power indicator blinking at least four times after this process, it means that the RCA R26211 universal remote codes or the procedure you did before this step were wrong. We suggest reviewing the previous steps and making sure that you didn’t miss anything.
Step #7: Test RCA Universal Remote Functions
But just to be sure, we highly recommend testing several device commands to confirm the successful integration. If your component is a television set, it’s crucial to check if the power button triggers the opening and closing of the system.
Don’t forget to check if you can adjust the TV volume through the remote and if you can access all the menu options without any problems. Ensure that everything works fine before wrapping this up so that you wouldn’t have to face any issues in the future while using the controller.
