Klipsch Cinema 600 Review — A Soundbar For Your Watching Pleasure in 2023

Many home sound systems allow you to recreate the theater experience at home, but these are highly expensive, making them unattainable for many. If you are looking for a soundbar on a budget, then you might have encountered the Klipsch Cinema 600. But is it worth the price in the long run?

Read what our experts thought after thorough testing in our Klipsch Cinema 600 review.

What We Like

What We Don't Like

Klipsch Cinema 600 Design

The Klipsch Cinema 600 design is no stranger to Klipsch fans, as it is modeled to look like the brand’s Reference Series speakers. It has a curved motif that is made out of premium and real wood, which looks classic in most settings.

The soundbar is generally unobtrusive, as it stands at 2.9 inches. You can easily place it in the common spots without the hardware blocking the TV screen, or mount it through the wall-mounting brackets that come with the package. Meanwhile, the subwoofer can be connected wirelessly, so there’s more flexibility in its placement.

Klipsch Cinema 600 is made with seven speakers placed throughout to provide sound equally throughout the system. The speakers are made with fiber-composite subwoofers and have two Tractrix horn speakers on the ends. The black glossy satellite speakers have an IMG driver that measures 2.5 inches and aluminum dome tweeters at a quarter inch. There is also linear travel suspension tweeter in the middle of the soundbar.

Though separate from the soundbar, the remote control is extra convenient, courtesy of its motion-sensing LED buttons. You can look up buttons with no fuss in the dark. Volume, sound modes, subwoofer and surround level can all be configured from the remote control.

Klipsch Cinema 600 Features

Sound Quality

Our experts found the sound coming out from the Klipsch Cinema 600 worth its price tag during our Klipsch Cinema 600 review. For most people, there’s no missing a word or even a whisper with the system’s custom-tuned dialogue modes. Even in higher volumes, the dialogue is crisp and clear making it one of the best Klipsch soundbars to consider.

Plus, the built-in Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus [1] improve the processing of dialogue and surround channels, should you choose to add the Surround 3 speakers.

Klipsch Cinema 600 Subwoofer

Klipsch has the largest wireless subwoofers on the market that measure 10 inches, which is not a bad thing considering that our experts found that it also translates to clean and powerful bass. There’s more than enough oomph for us while watching action movies and sports.

Placement should not be a problem as well, and with wireless 2.4 GHz technology, you are assured no latency. The same technology is also responsible for connecting the soundbar automatically to the subwoofer.

However, you’re not limited to the subwoofer if you find that you need way more than what it can already provide. There is an additional output for a wired subwoofer on the soundbar which you can use to add another subwoofer such as the Klipsch R-12SWi or replace what comes with the package.

Connectivity

The soundbar comes with an HDMI cable but should also work with an optical input for devices that are not compatible with HDMI.

As for wireless connections, the soundbar affords Bluetooth connectivity for content streaming. The subwoofer also connects to the soundbar wirelessly through Bluetooth. It can be placed up to twenty feet away from the soundbar.

Channels

The Klipsch Cinema 600 is a 3.1 channel soundbar. This means that it has a dedicated center channel speaker that makes dialogues easily discernible.

If you want to experience surround sound with the Cinema 600, you have the option to add Surround 3 speakers. However, these are purchased separately.

Easy Setup

This sound system is easy to set up as long as your current TV has HDMI or optic cable capabilities. All you need to do is plug in the cable to the TV and you are ready for a theater-experience in your living room.

Getting support for your device is also easy. Just download the app for Klipsch and know when updates are available. The app also comes with instructional videos on use and setup.

Cinema 600 Price

Unlike many other sound systems, Klipsch Cinema 600 is highly affordable. To experience surround sound, you’ll have to purchase Surround 3 speakers that are sold separately, adding to the cost.

Klipsch Cinema 600 Review Conclusion

From our Klipsch Cinema 600 review, we gathered that the soundbar is one of the better solutions for those who want to bring great audio home but without a higher price tag. The sounds are crisp and clear, and the subwoofer does give the soundbar more than just an extra oomph without latency. Setup is easy — you can pretty much forget about it and enjoy once it’s laid down.
